Blogger Recognition Award

Even though I have started only about to or three months ago, I was nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by Jasmine at How Useful It Is. Take a few minutes to visit her lovely blog. Thanks so much for the nomination! It feels like I only just started yesterday, and yet there are people out there really enjoying my blog and what I do. It really made my day ❤ Of course, I accept the nomination haha.

The Rules

•Write a post to show your award.
•Give a brief story of how your blog started.
•Give two pieces of advice for new bloggers.
•Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
•Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.

How It All Began…

I started this blog this summer when I was reading so many great books. I didn’t really feel like I had somebody who I could share my thoughts with. So I looked around and there was the beautiful blogosphere, full of book lovers and fanboys and fangirls and I decided I wanted to be part of it. So I started writing reviews, slaved over my blog layout haha and yeah, that was a couple of months ago. To all those who don’t have their own blog, go ahead and start one. The bookish community is such a wonderful place to fangirl around with others and it makes your TBR pile that much higher haha

My Advice

(1) Comment, ask questions. Comments are a big part of blogging and I always appreciate comments! Because when you like something on a blog, the blogger can’t really tell if you’ve actually read what they wrote. Ask a question and start conversations and you’ll have a few new bookish friends in the community! I love commenting on other people’s blogs but I had a few problems, sometimes comments would be in the spam, so if you’re actually reading this, please check your notifications and spam. I’m trying to fix this ASAP but support is kind of slow these days.

(2) Don’t freak out if reviews get the least attention. My reviews usually get the least hits and comments. At first, I thought my reviews were just boring or something, but after some time I realized that that is the case with all book blogs (many have complained about it, too haha). Here’s the thing: all of us have different preferences and genres they like. If you talk about something bookish in general, more people can relate to your content than with a review. Don’t freak out about it. But don’t start using too many memes and forget about reviewing books either 😉

I Nominate…

Share your story if you have some time to do it 😉 If you have already been nominated, it would still be nice to share your advises with the community!

lets-chat

What advice can you give new bloggers? Why did you start your blog? Tell me your story in the comments 😉

Hey there! My name is Klara and I love reading and to share my thoughts about the things I read. I know how hard it can be to choose your next read. So I realized that I should start my own Blog not only tell the people out there what new literature is worth taking a look at. But also what other books are out there and have been long forgotten ;))

  3. Absolutely great advices! You’re right, I found your pingback in my spam! I do like comments too even though it costs time and all of us have limited time to spare because our TBR list is miles long haha..
